Add Davey Ray To The Brisbane List

He's a three-time Australian Champion, a four-time winner of the Magic Man 34, has won the BMARA Championship, the Firemen Nationals, USAC Features and a Chilibowl Preliminary, he's Davey Ray and he's on his way to Brisbane for the Australian Midget Championship at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway.
Davey will drive the DeRosa WA71 Aggressor/Synergy-V8 in the Championship, a car and team with which he is very familiar and has a huge amount of success with in recent years. Davey's inclusion will add even more clout to an already solid field that includes compatriot Dave Darland, five-time NZ Champion Michael Kendall and undoubtedly two of Australia's best in Nathan Smee and Mark Brown.
The 2013 Australian Midget Championship kicks off on Saturday night with Time Trials, three rounds of qualifying Heat races and a Preliminary Feature followed by another round of Heats, the Shootouts, B-Main and forty lap Championship Final on Sunday night.
This weekend's programme at Archerfield includes the Australian AMCA Nationals Championship and support class racing both nights with Sunday night's show also featuring a Caravan, Boat And Dunny Race and a special Australia Day Fireworks spectacular.
