Article courtesy of B & D Racing: ‘The Gasman’ Jack Dover is due to hit Australian shores on Christmas Day right in time to ignite the field along with Donny Shatz at Archerfield Speedway on Boxing Day. Dover, 22 from Springfield, Nebraska, USA will pilot the Autobarn Browns Plains B&D Racing Q11 Shaver Eagle for Brodie Tulloch.
After a slight schedule change due to some last minute ARCA (NASCAR feeder series) commitments in Daytona this past weekend, Jack is excited and as ready as ever to take on the Aussies in his second tour down under. Dover’s US 2012 campaign has drawn to a close; a season where he accumulating numerous feature wins aboard the popular Home Pride Industries black and yellow Roush Yates Ford powered #53 Eagle.
Jack is confident in the tour ahead stating, “I will feel very comfortable in this ride Brodie (Tulloch) has prepared for me. The equipment is similar to what I run so it will feel like it’s my own. The Tulloch brothers have all worked for me here in America with great success, so I believe we can continue that success down under.”
To date Jack's tour is concentrated at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane before contesting in the Grand Annual Classic at Warrnambool in late January.
By competing at The Classic, Jack will qualify to contest in The World Challenge Race held during the Knoxville Nationals in 2013. It is quite the trip for the low budget team, however the equipment will be up to the task for one of the toughest races in Australia.
Race fans can see why he is called ‘The Gasman’ at the following events:
December 26 – Archerfield Speedway Brisbane QLD December 29 – Archerfield Speedway Brisbane QLD January 1 – Archerfield Speedway Brisbane QLD January 8 – Archerfield Speedway Brisbane QLD January 25 & 26 – Premier Speedway Warrnambool VIC (There is the possibility of an extended schedule if the team gains further backing.)
