Summer Of Speed Set To Sizzle

It's not just the Brisbane weather heating up this time of year, the fine warm days in the River City are set to be complimented by some sizzling action on the racetrack when the Summer Of Speed kicks off with a huge Boxing Night show at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway next Wednesday night!
Ever since Donny Schatz stormed his way to victory in the 2012 World Series Sprintcars Australian Sprintcar Open at the venue back in January, race fans have been waiting patiently for another opportunity to see the world's number one Sprintcar driver in action again. Well, their patience has been rewarded and the long wait is nearly over as Schatz will land in Australia in the coming days to prepare to take on Qld's finest in the first of the International Sprintcar events for the Summer.
The Boxing Night show is a big one with not only Schatz and compatriot Jack Dover in town but the programme also includes the mighty Monster Trucks, Fireworks for the kids and plenty of support class racing as well.
"Outback Thunda" and "Tassie Devil" have proven to be two of the most popular Monster Trucks to ever go through their car-crushing paces at the Speedway and they're back for one final show for 2012. The big trucks are just the first in line during the Christmas/New Year week however with Double Decker car races on December 29 and a Demo Derby on the January 1 programme plus there's Fireworks both nights alongside of course some very hot Sprintcar racing featuring Schatz, Dover, Qld's best in Scheuerle, Reidy, Wanless, Muir, Mann, Jensen and co.
