Scheuerle Goes Back To Back, Gets Win Number Three

Andrew Scheuerle sent an ominous reminder to his rivals of his desire to win another KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship this season with a hard-fought victory in the thirty lap Feature event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway on Saturday night December 8, the victory his second in seven days and his third of the 2012/13 season.
Scheuerle raced his way past Danny Reidy for the lead on lap two of the Feature and held the position for nearly the entire race, only relinquishing it briefly to David Muir with a handful of laps remaining before resuming the front running and taking the win by a margin of just over a second. Muir and Reidy filled the minor steps of the podium with Darren Jensen and Todd Wanless completing the top five finishers.
Scheuerle's victory will extend his lead in the KRE Race Engines Track Championship standings heading into the final pre-Christmas event at Archerfield Speedway next Saturday night.
In other results, Michael Kendall continued his great start to the season with victory in the Modlites Feature race ahead of Ben Grice and Ashley Jarvis. The win was Kendall's fourth in Qld in a little over a month with those wins being shared between the #5 Modlite and the #89 Midget he also races for Neilsen Motorsport. Matt Hardy won the AMCA Nationals Feature, his first of the season at Archerfield, from Steve Potts and Dean Ballard.
