Scheuerle Leads Standings Heading Into December 8 KRE Event

Multiple-time Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway Sprintcar Track Champion Andrew Scheuerle holds a narrow two point margin over Todd Wanless in the standings heading into next Saturday night's fourth Round of the Championship event in Brisbane, a lead he will be eager to extend when the two renew their on-track battle for KRE Race Engines Championship honours at the venue.
Scheuerle, who won the second Round of the Championship on October 13 and added a second Feature win for the season at the Lucky 7's event in Toowoomba last night in the Ausdeck Patios And Roofing #25, is beginning to show signs of the consistency that carried him to his previous Championship success. Seasoned followers of Sprintcars in Qld will know that when Scheuerle gets in the groove he is one of the best at Archerfield and Scheuerle himself will be hoping to carry that form into the big International Sprintcar events that kick off at the Speedway on Boxing Day and culminate in the Australian Championship on January 8/9/10.
While Scheuerle leads the points chase, many eyes are also on the #5 of Danny Reidy who has reeled off four top five finishes from six events so far this season and currently sits third in points and only eight points adrift of the leader. Reidy, who for a number of years has been a regular on the World Series Sprintcars tour and contested major events around the country, has opted to stay close to home in his adopted State this season and the results of a more relaxed schedule are showing.
Saturday night's programme at Archerfield includes the always popular Kids Pushbike Races, AMCA Nationals, Compacts, Modlites and Sedan support classes. General admission gates open at 4:00PM on Saturday afternoon with early racing from 4:45PM and main programme from 6:00PM. Adults just $25.00, kids under 12 $6:00, family passes $50.00.
