Farr Two From Two In Qld Lucky 7's Challenge

Robbie Farr scored his second Qld Lucky 7's Challenge A-Main victory in seven days by leading the final eighteen laps of the Feature event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway on Saturday night November 24, taking the chequered flags by a comfortable near two second margin over David Muir with Peter Lack finishing third ahead of Danny Reidy and Bryan Mann.
The East Coast Pipelines backed driver was never really that far off the money all night, timing in fifth quick with an 11.862s behind Todd Wanless' quick time mark of 11.673s before topping the qualifying points ahead of the Pole Shootout and laying down an 11.880s lap in the final timed session to start the Feature from position three beside Muir and behind the front row pairing of South Australia's Trevor Green and Wanless.
Green led the main event for just under half the distance before Farr got through to take over the top spot, Green eventually retiring from the event on lap twenty six after contact with the wall in turn two. Muir challenged Farr for the lead on occasion but was forced to settle for second in the closing stages while Wanless, third at the flag stand on the white flag lap slowed dramatically soon after and lost three spots to Lack, Reidy and Mann to finish sixth.
In other results on the night, Michael Kendall was the class of the field in the twenty-five lap Polar Ice Qld Midget Car Series Feature race leading home Anthony Chaffey and American Alex Bright. Ben Grice won the Modlites Feature ahead of Ashley Jarvis and Chris Ruane while former Australian Super Sedan Champion Jamie McHugh showed he has lost little if any of his speed in a race car by winning the inaugural Kratzmann Caravans Brisbane Shield from Clark Quinn, Jack Berry, David Grose and Allan Grice.
