Less Than Six Weeks Until Donny Schatz Arrives

It's now less than six weeks until the world's number one Sprintcar driver Donny Schatz touches down in Brisbane for his annual racing trip to Australia and for the second consecutive year, Schatz will compete exclusively at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway during his stay in our country.
The thirty-five year old American continues to set the benchmark in the world of Sprintcar racing, this year adding a fifth World Of Outlaws Championship and a sixth Knoxville Nationals crown to the very impressive CV he has amassed since he first turned a lap in a Sprintcar as a fifteen year old under his father's guidance.
Schatz will compete in the opening six nights of the Summer Of Speed schedule of events at the Archerfield raceway which starts on Boxing Night with the first of three KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship and International Sprintcar events followed by the two night fifty lap, $20,000 to win Australian Sprintcar Open on January 4/5, an event he has called his own by winning four of the past five years. Schatz's final appearance in Brisbane this Summer will be the $10,000 to win Capalaba Wreckers Sprintcar Cup on January 8.
Archerfield Speedway Promoter John Kelly is in regular contact with Schatz and re-confirmed the American's Brisbane race dates this week.
"With the World Of Outlaws season now completed and another Championship wrapped up, Donny is busy preparing both for his trip to Australia and his 2013 schedule in America." John said from his office at the track.
"His race dates at our track are very similar to last year's and provides him with an opportunity to race every couple of days while also enjoying some time away from the track in what we believe is one of the greatest parts of the world, I'm sure he prefers the sun to the snow this time of year!"
