Aussie Champ Heads Archerfield V8 Dirt Modified List

Reigning Australian Champion Mark Robinson heads the nominations list for this Saturday night's V8 Dirt Modified races at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway, a list of eighteen that includes at least three more of the best drivers going around in the division at the moment in Andrew Pezzutti, Kevin Britten and David Clarke.
Every V8 Dirt Modified event at Archerfield from now until April 2013 will carry extra importance for all drivers who compete, no more so than for Robinson who will try and defend his National Championship crown at the venue come two blockbuster nights of racing on April 26/27 next year.
For Robinson to go back to back, he will need to beat the best and racing against the likes of Pezzutti, Britten and Clarke on a regular basis is just part of the preparation he would be looking for as he keeps one eye on the biggest prize in the land.
Pezzutti heads to Archerfield after winning the prestigious Lord Mayor's Cup event last weekend in NSW, ironically defeating Robinson and Britten to the chequers to claim the win. Britten holds both the Qld and NSW Titles and Clarke is a last start winner at Archerfield having won the season opener on October 20. Clarke and Britten are also widely regarded as two of the hottest prospects on the national scene and are more than capable of upstaging their more experienced rivals again this weekend.
With last Saturday night's Sprintcar and Midget event cancelled early due to the rain and rescheduled for December 15, fans who missed out on their weekly fix of racing will be well rewarded for their patience by the style of racing the V8 Dirt Modifieds produce at Archerfield, and with ten events scheduled for the class at the venue this season there is plenty of racing action coming their way!
This week's programme includes AMCA Nationals, Stockcars and support classes. General admission gates open at 4:30PM on Saturday, early racing from 5:00PM and main programme from 6:00PM. Adults just $25.00, kids under 12 $6:00, family passes $50.00.
