KRE 4; Updated Entry List And Points Standings

The entry list for Saturday night's fourth Round of the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway has been revised and currently stands at twenty-nine drivers, the most noticeable inclusion being that of World Series Sprintcars Champion James McFadden who will buckle up in the #67 in his bid to win his first KRE Round of the season.
McFadden, who won the Sprintcar Masters in Adelaide last Saturday night, will head back to Archerfield full of confidence after that victory and will start as one of the favourites this week alongside the likes of new point leader Andrew Scheuerle, defending Series Champion Bryan Mann, last start winner Darren Jensen and a revitalised Danny Reidy who is enjoying a good start to his season with three top five finishes to date.
Third place in last Saturday night's Feature was enough for Scheuerle to take over the top spot on the Championship points ladder and he now holds a narrow two point lead over Todd Wanless with three Rounds completed. Danny Reidy sits third ahead of Darren Jensen and Brock Dean with Peter Lack, David Muir, Terry Bracken, Jeremy Cross and Kevin Titman rounding out the top ten.
This weekend's event is an all Open Wheel affair with the Polar Ice Qld Midget Car Series, Wingless Sprints, Limited Sprints, Compacts and Formula 500's also on the programme.
Of particular interest in the Polar Ice races will be the battle between five-time New Zealand Midget Champion Michael Kendall, defending Polar Ice Champion Brendan Palmer, Round 1 winner Grant Draney and the winners of the opening two Rounds of the POWRi Super Series held in Qld recently, Anthony Chaffey and American Alex Bright.
General admission gates open at 4:00PM on Saturday, early racing from 4:30PM and main programme from 6:00PM. Adults just $25.00, kids under 12 $6:00, family passes $50.00.
