K R E Series Finale And Speedway Swap Meet

The fifteenth and final Round of the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship is set to close out the 2011/12 racing season at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway on Saturday night June 16 and after an impressive Series where he has been in contention right from the opening Round, Bryan Mann is in the box seat to clinch his first Championship crown for the Horrell Motorsport team.
Mann has continued to hold off the late season charges of both David Muir and Andrew Scheuerle during the past few Rounds, the latter two drivers realistically heading into the Final event of the season battling each other for second and third in the Championship. Muir and Scheuerle are also embroiled in a battle for the Sprintcars Qld Club Championship trophy which encompasses events at Archerfield and regional venues while ironically, Mann sits third in overall Club points.
Next Saturday night's event is a huge one with the annual Danny Davidson Memorial Midget race, the Wingless Sprint Fifty Lapper, Lightning Sprints and support class racing also featured on the programme. With many additional races scheduled at this event, general admission gates will open at the earlier time of 2:30PM with early racing from 3:00PM and the Sprintcars and Midgets on the track from 5:00PM, one hour earlier than their usual starting time.
On Sunday June 17, the Speedway will also host a Speedway Swap Meet from 9:00AM to 12:00 noon. Admission is just five dollars while a site fee of $25.00 will apply to all stall holders. Competitors and teams from all racing sections are invited to attend the Swap Meet, contact the Speedway office on 3277 7745 to reserve your stall.

General admission gates open 2:30pm, early racing from 3:00pm, main programme from 5:00pm.
Parking is available at the track for $3.00. Racing finishes by 10.30pm.
