Brazier Heads Interstate Entries For K R E 14
Author : Archerfield Speedway

Six-time Australian Champion Garry Brazier heads a list of interstate competitors that includes WA Champ Jason Kendrick, Victorian standout Domain Ramsey and Brazier's Rocket Industries team mate Matt Young that will take on a crack field of Qld drivers in Round 14 of the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship this Saturday night at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway as part of the venue's annual Crazy Night programme.

Brazier will be keen to improve on his fourth place finish in Round 13 of the Series on May 12 where he chased the cars of Andrew Scheuerle, World Series Sprintcars Champion James McFadden and WSS regular Danny Reidy across the line in the twenty-five lap Feature event. The allocation of the 2013 Australian Sprintcar Championship to Archerfield will not be lost on Brazier and while he will always race for the win, anything extra he can learn about the nuances of the raceway ahead of that prestigious event in January will be just as important to the Rocket team.

Domain Ramsey, a driver many Qld fans are yet to see in action, is heading north this week to take advantage of the Sunshine State's warmer climate and to get some additional racing in before Winter arrives. Ramsey posted three top fives and a Pole Shootout win during his run to a seventh place finish in the Victorian Sprintcar Series this season.

Kendrick returns to Archerfield in the #51 alongside ABC team mate Todd Wanless while Pete Thorley, previously in the #51, will drive the Illuminated Industries #69 for Brett Thomas. Thorley's nomination amongst all the Series regulars increases the field to thirty drivers for this weekend's event.

The annual Crazy Night show, a tradition in Qld Speedway dating back to the 70's, continues to be a great night of family fun and entertainment and this year's instalment includes the very popular Car, Caravan, Boat and Dunny Derby plus a huge Fireworks show for the kids.

In addition to the Sprintcars, there are also Super Sedans, AMCA Nationals, ASCF Junior Sedans and Modlites on the racing programme plus Junior Quarter Midget demonstration runs from the next generation of Speedway stars throughout the course of the evening.

Online ticketing is available for this event through the venue's website at brisbanespeedway.com.au , with Family passes just $65 which includes general admission for two adults and two children aged 5-12 years. Gates open from 4:00PM, early racing from 4:45PM, main programme from 6:00PM following the National Anthem.
