Four of the very best Super Sedan drivers of the past decade head the nominations list for this Saturday night's Super Sedan event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway, with the fourth Round of the Brisbane Series also the last chance fans will have to see these drivers and cars in action ahead of the Australian Super Sedan Championship at the venue in May.
If you were to go back through the history books of the Australian Title, the National Super Sedan Series, major events like "The Grenville", State Championships and of course local and State-wide Series races up and down the East Coast, you would immediately notice four names repeatedly amongst the results.
Darren Kane, Matt Pascoe, Wayne Brims and Wayne Randall have posted numerous victories and podium finishes between them in the big races around the country throughout their racing careers and will renew their on-track rivalry this Saturday night in Brisbane.
Ironically they also fill four of the top five spots in the Series after the opening Rounds with Ian Brims, a well credentialed racer in his own right, splitting the four and currently sitting third in points and well in contention for the Series title.
Pascoe leads Kane by a mere eighteen points (222-204) with Ian Brims a further twelve points adrift on 192 points while only two points separate Randall and Wayne Brims for fourth and fifth (171-169). Only two Rounds remain of the Series this season, including this weekend's event, so every opportunity taken and point gained can have substantial rewards for the Series contenders.
Saturday night's programme at Archerfield includes AMCA Nationals, Wingless Sprints and support class racing from the Ford v Holden Sedans, Sigmas, Open Sedans and Outlaw Sedans. Gates open from 4:00pm, early racing from 4:45pm, main programme from 6:00pm.
