Quarter Midgets Friday, Polar Ice Midgets Saturday

The Junior Quarter Midgets take to the track for the first time in 2012 at Supercheap Cheap Auto Archerfield Speedway tonight with twenty-eight stars of the future competing in the Novice, 120cc and 160cc classes.
Zac Brims (Novice), Ardie Jonic (120cc) and Tristan Johnson (160cc) are your three last start winners in Quarter Midgets at Archerfield, having won their respective Feature races back in December. Brims and Jonic also won in Toowoomba on Sunday February 5 and consequently will be chasing a hat trick of wins this evening. Gates open this afternoon at 5:30pm, hot laps from 6:30pm and racing from 7:00pm.
Tomorrow night the Polar Ice Qld Midget Car Series continues with Brendan Palmer also chasing his third win in succession in Series events at Archerfield. Palmer also leads the Polar Ice points score by twenty six points over Brock Dean as the Series passes the half way mark but in the QSRA Club Championship standings which includes races at regional venues, Dean leads Palmer by a similar margin with Matt Greenwood well within striking distance in third spot.
Saturday night's event includes a mix of open wheel and bodied car racing with Track Championship and Series races for Lightning Sprints, Wingless Sprints, Modlites, Ford v Holden, BIS Sedans and Outlaw Sedans also on the programme.
Family passes for two adults and two children under twelve are available for just $50.00 for Saturday night's event with general admission gates open at 4:00pm, early racing from 4:30pm, main programme from 6:00pm.
