Quarter Midgets Postponed, Sprintcars Right For Saturday Night

Wednesday afternoon's storm that passed through Brisbane has forced the postponement of tonight's Quarter Midget event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway to next Friday February 17, however it's all systems go for Round 10 of the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship and support races at the venue tomorrow night.
Archerfield Promoter John Kelly and representatives of the Junior Quarter Midget Club of Qld inspected the track, pit area and grounds yesterday and in light of Saturday night's event, agreed to reschedule the races to next week.
Round 10 of the KRE Track Championship headlines tomorrow night's programme which also features AMCA Nationals, Late Models, Formula 500's, Compact Speedcars, ASCF Junior Sedans, Stockcars and Sigmas.
Last start winner David Muir will chase win number three of the season as Series point leader Bryan Mann tries to stem Muir's mid-season charge with a victory of his own in the thirty lap Sprintcar Feature. Defending Series Champion Andrew Scheuerle, currently second in KRE points, returns to Archerfield after competing in interstate events the past few weeks and like Mann, will be chasing his first win of the season in Brisbane.
