This week's World Of Speedway television show on SPEED channel, which will go to air on Thursday night, features in-depth interviews with John and Kathy Kelly from Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane as part of the line-up that includes all the latest news and results from around the nation.
John and Kathy, who have been at the helm of Qld's Home Of Speedway for more than a decade, provide an interesting insight into the inner workings of running a successful racetrack in today's economic climate plus they chat with host David Tapp about what events are in store for the remainder of the season in Qld and where they see the future direction of the sport.
While John has long been involved in the day to day operations of not only the track but also Sprintcar racing in general in the Sunshine State, Kathy has staked out her own credentials running the Speedway office while also raising two children who are following in their parent's wheel tracks.
Kirsty and Aaron Kelly might be students by day but they are racers by night whenever the Quarter Midgets are scheduled to compete at Archerfield, and the two have quickly made a name of themselves with multiple Feature wins each since the class began in Qld a few years ago.
