Mann Leads K R E Points Chase Into Round Nine

Bryan Mann leads the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship points chase heading into Round 9 at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway this weekend and sits in a very good position to extend his lead as he goes in search of his first Championship victory.
Mann currently holds down a forty three point lead (477-434) over defending Series Champion Andrew Scheuerle but with Scheuerle's name listed amongst the nominations for the Grand Annual Classic event in Victoria, Mann has a rare opportunity to open up an even bigger points break on the field on Saturday night.
Likewise, David Muir also has an opportunity to move up the ladder this week. Sitting third in points after the opening eight Rounds, Muir has been one of the in-form drivers in Qld this season and won Round 4 back in November before finishing a very credible third behind James McFadden and Robbie Farr in both the next KRE event and the World Series Sprintcars opener the same month.
Kevin Titman, Steven White and Darren Jensen are embroiled in a battle for top five positions in the standings with Titman the best of these three at this point of the season. Titman returns to Archerfield this Saturday following a wild and spectacular crash down the front straight at the start of the Australian Sprintcar Open on January 7, as does Todd Wanless who rode out a wild flip along the back straight wall the previous night.
This weekend's event at Archerfield, to be presented by Ausdeck Patios And Roofing, includes AMCA Nationals, ASCF Junior Sedans, Modlites, Open and Outlaw Sedans and a Car, Caravan, Boat And Dunny Race as part of a big night of family fun at the Speedway.
