Sports Today - Shane Stewart Interview

American Sprintcar ace Shane Stewart is scheduled to pre-record an interview for the Sports Today program this afternoon ahead of this weekend's World Series Australian Sprintcar Open event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway.
The Open, presented by Performance Wholesale, is the jewel in the crown for Qld Speedway and kicks off tonight with qualifying Heat races and a Preliminary Feature with the fifty lap, $20,000 to win Final tomorrow night.
Stewart, the winner of the January 1 International Sprintcars/KRE Race Engines Track Championship event at the venue, is one of five Americans competing at Archerfield this weekend. Donny Schatz, Tim Shaffer, Jason Johnson and Rico Abreu make up the quintet of Uncle Sam's finest to take on the Aussies in the time-honoured and prestigious event.
